A Blockbuster LA City Break
Welcome to the ‘The City of Angels’.
A sprawling metropolis that is home to some of the world’s most photographed attractions.
Start with star-studded Hollywood, search out your favourite entertainer on the Walk of Fame, make a visit to the Chinese Theatre home of the biggest film premieres and the Dolby Theatre home of the Oscars, before taking one of the many tour buses that take you up into the hills and seek out the multi-million dollar mansions of the rich and famous
If you’re ready for some retail therapy, head to Rodeo Drive in Beverley Hills and walk in the footsteps of Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, this up-market part of LA will have your jaw dropping at the cars, the clothes and the prices!
Head out to the Pacific Ocean and find your way to one of the many well-known beaches, from Malibu to Huntington, Long Beach to Laguna Beach our particular favourite is Santa Monica. It not only signals the end of Route 66 but also has fantastic restaurants, the famous pier with its choice of funfair rides, and the Ice Cream, oh the Ice Cream!
When you’re finished here, take the 1 hour stroll or hire bikes, Segways or scooters and head to Venice Beach, home to the famous musclebound gym and basketball courts on the beachfront!

If you’re into your musicals visit the art deco building of Venice High School, the real location for the fictional school Rydell High in Grease! Indeed, everywhere you look in the city there are film backdrops.
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and gaze at real stars with a visit to the Griffith Observatory, explore Griffith Park, home to cycling and hiking trials all with splendid views of the city and the coast.
A trip to LA wouldn’t be complete without a selfie with the Hollywood sign, but it’s not as easy as you think to get the perfect shot, but it sure is fun trying to get the best vantage point in the city, without driving all the way up!
For a day out, and especially if travelling with children, consider a trip to one of the Theme Parks in the city. We highly recommend Universal Studios, not far from Hollywood, home to the Harry Potter & Simpson rides amongst many others. Or hire a car and head out to Anaheim and spend the day at Disneyland, in its many themed lands in the ‘Happiest Place On Earth!’
Eating out in Los Angeles is all about choice, choice, choice! From American hearty burgers to Mexican tortillas, and every other cuisine you can think of, LA has it all.
Los Angeles has so much to offer, we recommend hiring a car to get around as this is for sure the preferred mode of transport in this vibrant city.
