One thing to be sure of with a first visit to New York, you’re going to need to come back! There are so many highlights we can’t even list them here, but let’s make a start.
Rattle along the subway down to Battery Park and climb aboard the ferry to The Statue of Liberty, spend a couple of hours taking in the incredible views of Manhattan, whilst exploring Lady Liberty herself. The statue symbolising liberty, democracy and Independence standing at 93m at the entrance to New York harbour. Ask us about the different ticket types as there are some exclusive tours to be had!
Upon returning on the ferry, head to the 911 Memorial, the tranquil setting right in the middle of Manhattan is incredibly poignant. From there tour the 911 museum with artifacts and personal stories from that day in 2001, it is a truly moving experience.
From the history of the World Trade Centre, visit the present day, take the lift to the top of new One World Trade Centre building, for breathtaking views of lower and mid-town Manhattan. The interactive tour will keep everyone interested for sure.

A visit to New York is unlikely to be shopping free! so head to 5th Avenue for some of the finest department stores in the world, a shoppers’ paradise!
Take in a Broadway show and visit Times Square in the evening, when the lights shine bright and the streets are alive with tourists and locals alike. Maybe visit one of the restaurants where you can see Broadway performers sing and dance as you tuck into your New York Pizza or Burger!
Speaking of food, don’t miss the opportunity to visit iconic eateries like Katz Deli for pastrami sandwiches or join one of the many New York food tours to sample more of culinary delights the city has to offer!
If you have a head for heights, take a lift to the observation towers of The Rock or The Empire State Building for those breathtaking views of the city.

Spend a day in Central Park, this expansive park in the centre of Manhattan is great for a stroll, picnic, a visit to the Zoo or to find the hotel from Home Alone 2, for film buffs! Treat the family or a loved one to a carriage ride through the park, for a different view and to rest your feet.
Cross the Brooklyn Bridge on foot or by bike and visit Prospect Park or head over to Coney Island for all the fun of the fair.
With more days, you can see the city at a more leisurely pace, as well as exploring all the districts in more detail. There really is so much to do here, whatever you choose, it’s up to you New York!
