Fly from London into New York. Welcome to the city that never sleeps!
One thing to be sure of with a first visit to New York, you’re going to need to come back! There are so many highlights we can’t even list them here, but let’s make a start.
Climb aboard the ferry to The Statue of Liberty, spend a couple of hours taking in the incredible views of Manhattan, whilst exploring Lady Liberty herself upon returning, head to the 911 Memorial, the tranquil setting right in the middle of Manhattan is incredibly poignant. From there tour the 911 museum with artifacts and personal stories from that day in 2001, it is a truly moving experience.
From the history of the World Trade Centre, visit the present day, take the lift to the top of new One World Trade Centre building, for breathtaking views of lower and mid-town Manhattan. The interactive tour will keep everyone interested for sure.
A visit to New York is unlikely to be shopping free! so head to 5th Avenue for some of the finest department stores in the world, a shoppers’ paradise!
Take in a Broadway show and visit Times Square in the evening, when the lights shine bright and the streets are alive with tourists and locals alike. Maybe visit one of the restaurants where you can see Broadway performers sing and dance as you tuck into your New York Pizza or Burger!

Speaking of food, don’t miss the opportunity to visit iconic eateries like Katz Deli for Pastrami sandwiches or join one of the many New York food tours to sample more of culinary delights the city has to offer!
If you have a head for heights, take a lift to the observation towers of The Rock or The Empire State Building for those breathtaking views of the city.
Spend a day in Central Park, this expansive park in the centre of Manhattan is great for a stroll, picnic, a visit to the Zoo or to find the hotel from Home Alone 2, for film buffs! Treat the family or a loved one to a carriage ride through the park, for a different view and to rest your feet.
Cross the Brooklyn Bridge on foot or by bike and visit Prospect Park or head over to Coney Island for all the fun of the fair.
Night 5 & 6: Philadelphia
Pick up your rental car, and within 2 hours or so, you’ve transported yourself from the heart of Manhattan to the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Welcome to Philadelphia!
Over the next couple of nights enjoy the city, take in an Independence History tour, visit the Liberty Bell and run up the steps like you’re Rocky! All helping to burn the calories of the famous Philly Cheesesteak
Night 7, 8 & 9: Niagara Falls & Toronto
A full day’s driving takes you through Pennsylvania and New York state before arriving at the Canadian border. Stay for 3 nights at one of the hotels overlooking the Falls, and enjoy time on the Lady of the Mist tour out under the falls on the Canadian side, whilst also visiting the beautiful Niagara-on-the Lake, and a day trip to Toronto.
Niagara on the Lake is stunning, with boutique shops and restaurants, much different to the Falls themselves which are very commercialised. Take a seat at one of the restaurants overlooking Lake Ontario and breathe in the fresh air and stunning views.

A day trip to Toronto is very worthwhile, just 90 mins north, head up the CN Tower for incredible views or catch a baseball game at the Blue Jays. We can arrange for you to stay in Toronto or head back to Niagara at the end of your day.
Night 10, 11 & 12: Washington DC
A full day’s drive sees you end the day handing in the trusty rental car in Washington DC!
Spend 3 nights taking in all the sights of the nation’s capital. Visit the White House, the Capitol Building as well as the many (often free) museums & monuments. Many of these attractions require advance planning due to security, but we can guide you through the procedures.

Enjoy the excellent food scene in Washington, with many Michelin Starred restaurants and food tours, you certainly won’t go hungry
Day 13 sees a choice. Either return to New York by train for the return flight (approx. 3 hours) or transfer to Ronald Reagan airport for a return from Washington.
